Welcome to my online tribute to the manufacturer of some of my favorite Japanese collectibles! Many Anime fans are familiar with Banpresto's small plush toys and keychains of popular characters from Japanese anime, movies and video games. What really impresses me about the toys is the attention to detail. Banpresto has a real knack for capturing the personality of the characters. When you look at the facial expressions, or the little details on the costumes, you get the feeling that the designers are genuine fans of the series' and the characters they're depicting.
Latest Site Updates:
This site is in the process of being DECONSTRUCTED. You may find many of the links are not working. I'm in the process of redoing the site, but if you've bookmarked this page, you're looking at the old version. As of right now, the current version is here. If you'd like to bookmark this site, the best thing to do is bookmark the opening page at www.kanegon.com, as that will always lead you to the right place. There are only about 300 plushes on the new, updated site, so you are still welcome to browse this older version, but some pages and pictures may be missing.
To get started, click here to go to the Index Page. From there, you can choose the series you'd like to view.
You can take a look at some of the catcher toy machines. Courtesy of field reporter Darla! :)
The words and scans are © Kane, aka spooky@voicenet.com, who freely admits he spends way too much time thinking about toys. The toys shown are © Banpresto, Inc., a subsidiary of Bandai, Inc. This site is not endorsed or affiliated with Banpresto, it is just a hobby that I enjoy working on. Before you email me to ask, NO, I am not selling these toys. Since you are still reading this, I'll throw in an extra scan of a catcher toy of Ginger Spice, formerly of the Spice Girls. Cheers.
