My link page doesn't get updated often, but hopefully you'll
find something of interest here.
The Essentials
This is the stuff everyone should be aware of. My highest recommendations.
ThumbsPlus -
My personal favorite multimedia manager for the last few years. Available for Windows 3.1,
95 and NT. Shareware. If you collect image, sound or movie files, then you
need a good multimedia manager.
CompuPic -
This new multimedia manager has made an impression on me in just a short
time. It has some great slide show features and even has a feature for
sending greeting cards online! Definitely worth a look.
If you have the RealPlayer installed, then keep this site bookmarked for
live RealAudio concerts. A
good selection of bands are available at the archive. Nice for background music while you
work on your web site or whatever.
Microsoft - I
have to admit I seem to be heading here more often than I'd like lately, in need of
support, plugins or patches. It's hard to avoid Microsoft, and I'm glad that they
legitimately try to provide as good a product as they can. Still, nothing is perfect and
problems arise. At least they have this site to help out.
Action Figures / Toys
Toymania - Wow!
A fantastic site for info on collecting action figures.
Other Anime / Japanese Toy Collector's Sites
Attack of the
Anime Toys - Pam's site is a source of inspiration and information for all
anime doll & toy lovers. Check it out!
Anime Addiction
Plus - Donna's site shows her growing collection of anime stuff from
Sailormoon, Rayearth, Tenchi, Ranma & Sakura Wars.
Biscuit's House
- Helene is a French woman living in Japan who collects & discusses Japanese Fashion
dolls such as Takara's Jenny line. Great photos and a beautiful site!
Marmalade
Boy Shrine - Another romance-based anime, Sean's site has character bios
& profiles plus galleries for cels, dolls (lots!) and other toys. Recommended!
Mixplate Anime
Collection - Kim's got herself a cute little site full of Sailor Moon toys,
which she actually opens!!!
Pluto
Planet Power! - Not just any tribute to Sailor Pluto, this is probably the
best looking Sailormoon related site in cyberspace! Web design so cool, I'm thinking of
moving to Boston to stalk the webmaster! Just kidding, Mara. ;)
[Link removed since the site has moved. I hope to find the new location and
active the link again.]
Sailor Moon Toys
and Cels, too. - A great reference for the dolls and doll clothes, plus an
impressive collection of Luna merchandise. Definitely worth a look for the
custom dolls alone!
Anime / Japanese Toy Sources
I get a lot of email asking the question, "Where can I
get...?", so I thought I'd better add links to a couple of stores I've used.
Abada's
Universal Gifts - Dolls and toys from many different anime titles.
Anime Music Connection
- I've used this one a couple of times, but I'm not sure if they still exist. Seems
outdated.
The Beaman Co.
- I've never actually used this one, but I've heard good recommendations from
friends.
Bullmark.com -
Named after one of the top vinyl toy makers of the '70's, this site has
vintage and new Japanese vinyl toys of monsters, heroes & villains. Some
for sale, some for display.
CelMart
- A great source for Anime cels directly from Japan. Very fair pricing! Most of my
cels...make that ALL of my cels have come from Takashi! Recommended! Also has a selection
of some of the best current limited edition Jenny dolls.
Club Daikaiju
- Monsters, monsters, monsters! Godzilla, Ultraman, Gamera and more. Never bought from
their online catalog but I've visited their convention booths. The site has
mostly vinyl toys, but there are also movie posters and a few other items.
David Hammon Dolls Japan
- A great place to check out some of Japan's popular Jenny dolls, plus many anime-related
dolls.
The eBay Auction Web
- This site is a curse and a blessing at the same time. For Sailor Moon items,
you can either go to the
search page and type "Sailor Moon" in the title search, or you can
go the category Collectibles/Animation Characters/Japanese Animation.
Hobby Link Japan -
Not the easiest site to use unless you know exactly what you want and who
makes it, but they are an amazing
source for Japanese model kits.
JapanToy - Reiko,
one of my favorite sellers from eBay, opened her own online store! She's top rate, so
give her site a look!
Luthien
Enterprises - A Canadian based dealer. Ordered once & was very happy with
the transaction.
ToyJapan -
Ordered a couple of times, always happy with the outcome.
Music Related Sites
Travis Online -
The Spice
Shack - The best fan-designed Spice Girls page you will ever
see.
Other Stuff
Pix Poster Cellar
- I always looked forward to visiting their booths at conventions. Now I don't have to
wait. GREAT selection of posters from around the world, and great prices as well.
