Cutey Honey Flash!

Updated 01/26/2002

Introduction:

As long time anime fans probably know, Cutey Honey has been around for quite a while. The original series was created by Go Nagai in the 70's, and was aimed at an adult audience. The character of Cutey Honey, a well-endowed android with the ability to transform into a number of different personas with different costumes and abilities, was revamped and tamed down for the 1997 series "Cutey Honey Flash!", which was aimed at young girls. In fact, Cutey Honey Flash took over Sailormoon's time slot when Sailormoon's five year run ended.

In addition to the plushes displayed on this page, there have been a few other Cutey Honey catcher items. There was a set of 5 inch tall figurines, with representations of Cutey's various different guises.

Based on the mature-viewers version, Takara produced a series of plush toys back in 1992. I was lucky enough to find a couple of these older catcher toys, but I can't tell how many were in the set. Hurricane Honey and Kisaragi Honey are shown here.
