Hunter x Hunter

Updated 01/14/2002

Introduction:

Hunter x Hunter, created by Yoshihiro Togashi (who also wrote Yu Yu Hakusho), first appeared as a manga serial in the popular anthology Jump, and emerged as an anime series in 2001. The story follows Gon, a young boy who learns that the father who abandoned him years before, is still alive. Gon's father is a world famous hunter, and Gon devotes his time to passing the difficult and dangerous Hunter Exam, hoping to someday reunite with his father. The exam is made up of a series of tests, and only 1 of every 100,000 entrants pass. And like most anime series, Gon meets a number of new friends along his journey. The following toys were made by Banpresto.

A set of figurine keychain mascots exist, also. The plush set below is the only plush set so far.

Gon Killua Curapikt Leorio
71785e.jpg (17425 bytes) Honestly, I think 2001 was a great year for catcher toy collectors, and this set is an excellent example. These really look great. Leorio is my favorite. The hair, the glasses, the suit and the hand gesture - just great! Average size is 8 inches tall. The complete set of 5 is shown.
