Keychains
Keychains have been available as catcher toy prizes since the early nineties. The PVC keychains are generally about 2 inches tall, although the size became slightly smaller in 1999. Keychains have cardboard hang tags much like the larger plush figures. The detail and paint jobs on the PVC figures are always outstanding and they make great collectibles. Unfortunately, the keychains are often bootlegged. The first thing to look for is the cardboard tag. If the tag has been removed, look for the copyright imprint, which can be usually be found on the back of the figure's head. On the original figures, the imprint appears sharp and clear.

2. Clockwise from top left: Daitarn 3, Zambot 3, Dancougar & Combattler V.
3. Left to right: Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and Getta Robo.
4. Clockwise from top left: Reideen, Go Shogun, Daimos, & Dunbine.
5. Megazords - 1998 - Ok, I admit it - I picked this set up because I thought they looked cool, even though I couldn't figure out who the characters were or what they were from. Then, one Saturday morning I was flipping through the channels, and I caught a few minutes of the Power Rangers - and there was one of the robots from this keychain set! When the Rangers combine their vehicles into one giant robot, its called a Megazord, and this set represents the Megazords from the various PR series. Here are a few of the Japanese names. The one in the top right corner is Sunvulcan Robo. The lower left corner is Dai Denjin. The one in the bottom right corner is Gingaiou from the Gingaman series, and he's holding Gingalcon.
6. Super Robot Wars Set 5 - (Clockwise from top left) Gaiking, EVA-01, Grendizer and Huckebein. There were two others in the series. The missing keychains are of EVA-00 & EVA-02.
7. Gundam Wing - Endless Waltz Set 1 - Gundam Wing, Gundam Heavy Arms, Gundam Sandrock, Quatre & Trowa. There was one other human in this series, who I've yet to find.
8. Gundam Wing - Endless Waltz Set 2 - Gundam Wing Special, Gundam Deathscythe, Zechs, Tallgeese, Gundam Nataku & Wufei. This set also had one other human that I still need to find.
9. 1999 - I'm not sure what this series is called or represents, but there are some really cool figures here. The only two I can name are the figures on the far right of each row, which are Mazinger Z and Voltess V.
10. Super Robot Wars Series 3 - 1997 - Ok, I need to reorganize this page and put these in chronological order. This set happens to be the oldest set I've found. The character names are unknown to me, although I do recognize Shin Getter in the middle of the top row, & Ideon the Runaway Robot is in the top right corner.
11. Super Robot Wars Series 8 - 1999 - Yep, Banpresto is still releasing new Super Robot keychains! Here we have all new versions of Reideen, Getter Poseiden, Getter Liger, & a female Super Robot. There were two others in this series, which I haven't found yet.
