Kimba the White Lion

"aka Jungle Emperor Leo or Jungle Tei Tei"

Updated 06/25/2002

Introduction:

Kimba is one of the most well known creations of Tezuka Osamu, widely known as the "Godfather of Manga." Tezuka produced much of his most popular work in the 1950's, including serialized comics of Kimba, Astro Boy and Princess Knight. Kimba was produced as an anime in the 1960's, and has remained as an anime icon ever since.

Banpresto's Kimba plush set is shown below. Kimba also appeared (in both PVC and plush form) in keychain sets based on Tezuka characters.
