Tokusatsu Heroes

"Tokusatsu" refers to the genre of live-action television shows featuring costumed heroes, such as Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Kikaida, Spectreman, etc... Some of the more popular characters like Kamen Rider and Robocon have their own pages, so don't forget to check those pages out as well.

1. Tokusatsu Characters - Made by Sega, 1996 - There were 10 characters in this series, all of whom were live action heroes or villains from TV shows of the 60s and 70's. They measure about 9 inches tall. The pic shows Spectreman, Red Baron & Silver Mask.

2. - 3. Tsuburaya Characters - Banpresto, 1996 - The most popular character ever to come from Tsuburaya Productions is Ultraman, but he wasn't their only live-action hero. This set of 4 toys featured the production companies lesser-known heroes from '70's TV.

14. Tokusatsu Heroes - Banpresto, 1999 - This set likely represents characters from a particular creator/production company, but I'm not sure who that is. The shows represented are Denjin Zaboga, Lion Maru, Magma Taishi (known as Space Giants in the US), and Spectreman. This is one of my favorite sets.
