Virtua Fighter

Updated 06/30/2002

Introduction:

Sega's Virtua Fighter was the first fighting game to place characters in a 3D environment. For the first time, characters could move sideways as well as backwards and forwards. This was a revolutionary new step that took fighting games to the next level, and the Virtua Fighter series continues to be one of Sega's best.

There have been quite a few plushes based on the Virtua Fighter games, including VF1, VF2, VF Kids and VF4. (I don't recall ever seeing any VF3 plushes, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.) I've got many examples of VF2 to add later. All of the following toys were made by Sega.

In between VF2 and VF3, Sega produced a game for their Dreamcast system which featured the VF characters in the ever popular superdeformed style. While they aren't exactly "kids" since some have beards, they're still quite cute with their giant eyes. All of the VF2 characters were made, these are what I've got at this time. Average size is about 9 inches tall. Made by Sega.
